The Leaf-Kite Sabotage

Location: The Leaf-Kite Docks / The Crown City of Ardor Level Range: 3-5

Background & Objective

Someone is sabotaging the city’s transport system. Several Leaf-Kites have failed mid-flight, resulting in serious injuries to Muridae glidists. Master Wright Lira suspects that a group of Groomstalkers has infiltrated the docks, using their shadow-magic to weaken the kite-frames. The party must catch the saboteurs in the act and discover who is behind the attacks.

The Gimmick: Aerial Stealth

The party must navigate the outer branches and dock platforms at night without being spotted. Stealth is paramount, as the saboteurs are jumpy and will flee into the canopy if alerted.

Tactical Combat & Challenges

• Chasing shadow-corrupted enemies through a high-altitude branch-lattice.
• Using Leaf-Kites to pursue enemies who jump between trees.
• Fighting in low-light conditions with the constant risk of falling.

Narrative Outcomes & Loot

Uncovering the sabotage reveals a plot by the Shadow Council to weaken Ardor’s defenses before a full-scale invasion. Rewards include Aether-Oil, specialized kite-upgrades, and a Manual of Aerial Maneuvers.
