Scylla The Scarred

Scylla the Scarred
Scylla the Scarred is the fearsome and enigmatic leader of the Sea-Wolves, a guerrilla mercenary band that terrorizes the Broad Swells. A half-orc druid of immense power, Scylla vehemently rejects the peaceful, restorative dogmas traditionally associated with the druidic circles of the Elven Enclaves. She believes that nature is inherently violent, a constant struggle for survival where the strong consume the weak. Born on a remote, storm-lashed island in the Crystal Archipelago, she witnessed firsthand the destructive potential of the ocean. After her tribe was wiped out by a Kigum-sponsored Aether-mining expedition that destabilized the local ecosystem, she swore a blood oath to exact vengeance upon the civilized world.
Scylla's combat tactics are as brutal as her philosophy. The Sea-Wolves do not rely on constructed ships; instead, Scylla uses her dark druidic arts to bind and domesticate terrifying sea monsters. Her forces ride massive, armored hippocampi, giant sea serpents, and deep-water leviathans into battle. These living weapons allow the Sea-Wolves to strike without warning, bypassing traditional naval blockades by attacking from beneath the waves. Scylla herself is an imposing figure, her green skin heavily scarred by ritualistic scarification and encounters with the beasts she tames. She wields a staff carved from the bone of a kraken, channeling raw, untamed storm magic.
Her deep-seated hatred for industrialization and structured magic puts her at direct odds with both Steamfort and Kigum, making the Sea-Wolves targets for constant bounties. She harbors a particularly venomous hatred for the Crimson Company, viewing their use of black powder and anti-magic technology as the ultimate abomination against the natural world. Scylla envisions a day when the great cities are swallowed by the sea, and she actively seeks ancient, submerged artifacts that might allow her to summon a catastrophic tidal wave to cleanse the continents of their mechanical and arcane blight.
