Ecology

The Gilded Sentinel is an ancient Elven construct originally built during the Age of Myth to guard the Prismatic Ruins. They are elegant, humanoid figures made of polished gold and crystal. Many have been recovered and reprogrammed by the Vulture Syndicate to serve as high-society bodyguards for corporate executives in Fortune's Lake and Kigum.

Combat Mechanics

The Sentinel utilizes light-based attacks, firing a "Prismatic Ray" that deals random types of elemental damage. It carries a reflective shield that has a 25% chance to redirect any spell cast at it back at the caster. It possesses a "Solar Charge" ability, which grants it an extra action and increased movement speed when standing in bright sunlight or the radius of a Daylight spell.

Loot

A destroyed Sentinel can be harvested for "Refined Sun-Crystals," which are essential components for the creation of high-level light-based magic items and Aether-lenses.
