Background & Objective

A horrific magical plague known as the "Sighing Sickness" is sweeping through the elven enclave of Wyn_Dor. It spreads through sound: those who hear the infected's melodic sighing begin to mimic it, eventually turning into "Whisper-Hulks"—vegetative husks that emit a constant, soul-corrupting hum. The party must enter the silenced woods, find the "First Sigher" at the plague’s core, and end the resonance before it spreads to the rest of the continent.

Key NPCs & Motivations

  • Elder Lorith (Master of Illusions): An exhausted elf maintaining a massive Zone of Silence over the enclave. He is dying from the effort and needs the party to find a permanent solution.
  • The First Sigher: The patient zero, a manifestation of corrupted sound. It "calls" to the party, promising they will "never have to speak again."

The Setting: The Whispering Woods

  • The Soundless Village: A ghost town where the party must communicate without sound (telepathy, signs) to avoid attracting the sensitive Whisper-Hulks.
