Ignis-Kaan's Tectonic Resurgence

Ignis-Kaan's Tectonic Resurgence
10th-level evocation (Epic, Draconic)
Casting Time: 1 hour Range: Sight (100 miles) Components: V, S, M (The still-beating heart of a primordial titan, which the spell consumes) Duration: Permanent
Tapping into the slumbering fury of Ignis-Kaan, the Cinder King an Abysal Red Dragon, you bypass the surface-level Aether and speak directly to the world's molten core. You do not merely cause an earthquake; you command the tectonic plates to rewrite the geography of Aethervale.
A continental fault line of your choosing fractures. Over the next 24 hours, a new volcanic mountain range erupts from the earth, stretching up to 500 miles long and 50 miles wide. The effects of the upheaval are as follows:
Tectonic Rupture. Any structure on the chosen fault line is instantly destroyed. Any creature in this area must make a DC 30 Dexterity saving throw or be swallowed by the earth and killed instantly. On a success, the creature takes 20d10 bludgeoning damage and 20d10 fire damage as it is hurled to the periphery of the rupture.
The Ashen Sky. The eruption hurls millions of tons of ash into the stratosphere, plunging an entire continent into a sunless twilight. For 1d100 years, the area within 1,000 miles of the range is considered under the effect of a permanent Control Weather spell, locked in a "Volcanic Winter" (Arctic temperatures, no sunlight). Crops fail, and all Wisdom (Survival) checks are made with disadvantage.
Magmatic Flooding. Lava flows from the new peaks, covering an area 20 miles wide on either side of the range. Any creature that enters the lava or starts its turn there takes 40d10 fire damage.
The Price. Upon completion of the spell, the caster's physical body is incinerated by the channeled heat. Their consciousness is fused into the newly formed mountain range, becoming an immortal, suffering genius loci. The caster is considered incapacitated and blinded but can perceive everything that happens on the mountains as if they were there. Only a Primordial Unmaking or divine intervention by a Saint can release the caster's soul.
