Wild-Speaker Kaelen

Title: The Beast-Master of Olsa
Role: Kaelen is a druid who has bonded with a massive "River-Serpent." He uses the serpent to help defend the city and navigate the most treacherous parts of the river. He is a man of the wild who feels more at home with animals than with his fellow elves.

Secret Motivation: Kaelen’s serpent is actually a "Young Green Dragon" that he found and raised from an egg, using his druidic magic to suppress its draconic instincts. He believes he has "tamed" the beast, but the dragon is starting to reach maturity and is becoming increasingly difficult to control. He is terrified that if the dragon escapes, it will bring Xylira’s wrath down on Olsa.

Adventure Hook: The "River-Serpent" disappears, and Kaelen hires the party to find it. They eventually track the beast to a nearby cave, where it is currently meeting with a group of Obsidian Scale cultists.
