Necrotic Breath (Recharge 5-6).The Inquisitor exhales necrotic energy in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 36 (8d8) necrotic damage on a failed save.

Appearance

The Scaled-Inquisitor is a dragonborn of unknown lineage with scales that shift between obsidian black and deep, bruised purple. He wears light leather armor adorned with the teeth and finger-bones of those he has successfully hunted. His eyes are solid gold with vertical slit pupils.

Personality

Cold, clinical, and absolutely loyal to the Obsidian Scale, the Inquisitor views himself as the "cleaner" of the cult. He takes no pleasure in his work, viewing the assassination of world leaders and the destruction of the Archive of Truth as necessary administrative steps for the return of his masters.

Secret Motives

The Inquisitor seeks to prove his worthiness to Vermithrax the Void-Walker. He believes that once the first seal is broken, he will be granted "True Draconic Ascension," transforming him from a mere dragonborn into a literal dragon of the First Brood.

Combat Tactics

An elite assassin specializing in tracking and ambush, the Inquisitor uses "Void-Glass" daggers that bypass all magical shields and armor. He can exhale a 15-foot cone of necrotic breath that drains the life force from his enemies and uses Greater Invisibility to strike and disappear before the party can react.
