Scholar Eridan

Title: The Human Defector
Role: Eridan is a human scholar from the Ironbeard Syndicate who "saw the light" and defected to the Elven Enclaves. He now lives in Dorey, where he helps the elves understand and counter Steamfort’s technology. He is a man of immense guilt and is trying to atone for his part in creating the city’s mechs.

Secret Motivation: Eridan is a spy for the "Gilded Hand" in Kigum. He was sent to Dorey to monitor the elven defenses and identify any "weak points" that the High Council can exploit. He has been sending regular reports via a "Clockwork Bird," but he is starting to fall in love with an elven druid and is beginning to question his mission.

Adventure Hook: Eridan’s "Clockwork Bird" is captured by a group of elven children. He asks the party to help him recover the bird before the Wardens find it and decode his messages.
