High Shaman Kaelis

High Shaman Kaelis
High Shaman Kaelis is the eldest of the Mist-Sisters and the supreme spiritual leader of the Mist-Weaver Coven. Residing within the crystalline depths of The Echoing Grotto, she is a figure of immense mystery and power among the Muridae. Her fur is a ghostly white, and her whiskers are said to be long enough to touch the very roots of the Mother-Tree.
Kaelis is the primary keeper of the Mousefolk's oral history and the "Fog-Tongue," the ancient magical language used to command the mists of The Shrouded Boughs. She views herself as the forest's primary mediator, spending her days interpreting the vibrations of the mangrove roots and the whispers of the singing moss. Unlike the more martial Grand Warden Hekka, Kaelis believes that the Mousefolk's survival depends on remaining hidden and maintaining their spiritual purity.
She is a master of natural and aetheric magic, capable of commanding the weather and the flora of the Boughs with a simple gesture. Her presence is said to bring a sense of profound calm—or terrifying insignificance—to those who meet her.
Secret Motivation: Kaelis has begun to hear a new, dissonant frequency in the echoes of the grotto. She suspects that the Aetheric resonance of the Mother-Tree is being corrupted by an outside force—possibly linked to the Mana Wastes Anomaly—and is quietly searching for a way to "re-tune" the forest before the mist fails completely.
Adventure Hook: Kaelis has had a vision of a group of "Tall Ones" who possess a rare crystalline artifact that can heal the forest's corruption. She sends a Mist-Whisker messenger to find the party and invite them to a secret parley at the edge of the Echoing Grotto.
