Location: The Resin-Falls / The Amber Caves Level Range: 3-5
Background & Objective
The production of high-strength iron-wood has come to a halt. Someone—or something—is sabotaging the harvesting equipment at The Resin-Falls. Alchemist Thorne suspects that a group of Groomstalkers has established a base in the Amber Caves and is using shadow-magic to corrupt the falling sap. The party must catch the saboteurs in the act and discover the source of the corruption.
The Gimmick: Sticky Battlefield
The combat takes place near the falls, where the ground is covered in viscous resin. Characters must make a DC 12 Strength save every round they move or be Restrained until the start of their next turn.
Tactical Combat & Challenges
- Fighting shadow-corrupted enemies in a highly vertical and sticky environment.
- Using Aether-Tuning Forks to "pulse" the sap and reveal hidden enemies.
- Preventing the saboteurs from dumping a large container of "Necrotic Spores" into the golden basin.
Narrative Outcomes & Loot
If the party succeeds, they restore the flow of sap and earn a permanent discount on potions from Alchemist Thorne. Loot includes Sap-Flasks, rare hardened-resin shards, and a Vial of Pure Aether-Sap.
