The Flesh-Stitcher

The Flesh-Stitcher
Appearance
The Flesh-Stitcher, once a renowned surgeon in Kigum's upper wards, is now a grotesque caricature of his former self. He is a hunched, rail-thin figure draped in a leather apron stained with decades of blood and alchemical fluids. His left arm has been replaced with a complex, rust-covered mechanical apparatus featuring various saws, needles, and clamps. His face is hidden behind a heavy, brass plague-doctor mask with glowing green glass lenses that pump a steady stream of preservative gas.
Personality
Madness has entirely consumed him, replacing empathy with a perverse obsession with anatomy and efficiency. He views living beings not as people, but as raw materials waiting to be "optimized." He mutters constantly to himself in a rapid, disjointed cadence, documenting his experiments aloud. He is delighted by strange mutations or unique physiological traits in his enemies, often loudly calling dibs on their limbs before a fight even begins.
Secret Motives
He cares nothing for the Obsidian Scale's religious dogma or the Whispering Lich's grand design. The cult merely provides him with an endless supply of fresh corpses and a secure laboratory where the Vanguard cannot reach him. His ultimate goal is to create the "Perfect Vessel"—an amalgamation of the strongest traits from different species—to house his own consciousness and achieve physical immortality.
Combat Tactics
- Minion Swarm: The Flesh-Stitcher never fights alone. He is always accompanied by 2d4 of his horrific creations, such as Flesh Golems or mutated undead hounds.
- Alchemical Hazards: He throws unstable flasks that burst into clouds of corrosive acid or necrotic gas, creating hazardous terrain.
- Surgical Strikes: In melee, he uses his mechanical arm to grapple and inflict devastating slashing and piercing damage. A creature grappled by him must make Constitution saves or be injected with a paralyzing toxin.
- Macabre Healing: He can use his action to rip parts from his fallen minions (or fallen party members) and hastily staple them onto himself, restoring a significant portion of his health and occasionally gaining temporary traits (like a sudden increase in speed or AC).
