Mistress Elara Stone-Singer

Title: High Runesmith of the Anchor-Stones
Role: Elara is responsible for the maintenance of the Great Anchor-Stones that ward Dal-Dur against the Mana Wastes. She is a woman of intense focus, often spending weeks at a time in deep meditation, "listening" to the vibrations of the mountain. She is one of the most powerful runesmiths in the world, capable of carving spells that can last for centuries.

Secret Motivation: Elara has discovered that the Anchor-Stones are not just neutralizing magic—they are storing it. The stones are becoming "saturated" with the chaotic energy of the Wastes, and she fears they are about to "vent" all that energy at once. She believes that the only way to prevent a catastrophe is to find a "Void-Sink"—a legendary artifact said to be hidden in the heart of the Mana Wastes.

Adventure Hook: Elara’s workshop is attacked by "earth elementals" that are actually manifestations of the Anchor-Stones’ excess energy. She asks the party to help her stabilize the local stone and then journey into the Wastes to find the Void-Sink.
