Lord Julian Thorne

Title: Disgraced Heir of House Thorne
Role: Julian was once the golden boy of Kigum’s nobility, but his family was ruined in a series of "unfortunate" market shifts orchestrated by the Bank. Now, he lives in a crumbling manor on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by dusty trophies and bitterness. He spends his days drinking and his nights plotting his return to power.

Secret Motivation: Julian has found an ancient diary belonging to one of his ancestors, which details a "Blood Pact" made with a dragon during the War of Sunder. He believes that if he can find the dragon’s descendant, he can renew the pact and use that power to destroy the Grand Arcane Bank and reclaim his family’s wealth. He is currently looking for "brave souls" to help him track down a hidden shrine in the Southern Mountains.

Adventure Hook: Julian approaches the party in a tavern, offering them his last remaining heirloom—a powerful magic sword—if they will escort him to the shrine and help him "reclaim his birthright."
