House Silversong

House Silversong

House Silversong

House Silversong is a unique noble house in Kigum, composed primarily of half-elves and humans with strong ties to the elven forests of Lemmion. They act as the primary diplomatic and cultural bridge between the human-centric Kigum and the isolationist elven realms.

Cultural Role

The Silversongs are patrons of the arts, music, and "naturalist" magic. While House Valerius focuses on law and trade, House Silversong focuses on the preservation of Aether currents and the ethical use of magic. They are often seen as the voice of reason when Kigum's industrial interests clash with the natural world.

The Silversong Estate: The Whispering Gardens

Unlike the stone fortresses of other noble houses, the Silversong estate is a sprawling complex of living wood, glass, and flowing water. It is built around a minor Aether node that has been carefully cultivated to produce rare, glowing flora. The gardens are open to the public on feast days, serving as a rare point of contact between the city's elite and the common folk.

Notable Members

  • Lady Luthien Silversong: A half-elven bard and diplomat of legendary grace. She has spent decades negotiating trade treaties that allow Kigum access to elven timber and herbs without violating elven sacred sites.
  • Captain Thorne Silversong: Luthien's brother, who leads the "Green Wardens," a private militia that protects the trade routes between Kigum and Lemmion from bandits and mana-warped beasts.

Heraldry and Seat

  • Heraldry: A silver harp entwined with emerald ivy on a field of pale white.
  • Seat: The Whispering Gardens, located on the outskirts of Kigum's Upper District, bordering the Great Forest.
