The Vanguard of Dawn are devout followers of the Seven Saints, legendary figures who ascended to divine status through acts of incredible heroism and sacrifice. Saint Valerius, the patron of protection and righteous fury, is the most widely venerated among the paladins. Shrines to Saint Valerius can be found in almost every major city, and paladins often invoke his name when charging into battle against overwhelming odds or when defending the weak from exploitation.
