Cleric

Clerics are the vital conduits of divine power in Aethervale, serving as healers, spiritual guides, and holy warriors. They draw their magic from deep faith, acting as the mortal hands of their chosen deities. In the major human and elven settlements, priests of the Saints maintain massive cathedrals and small shrines alike, offering healing to the sick, comfort to the dying, and guidance to the lost, while also fiercely protecting their flocks from spiritual corruption.
The worship of the Saints is highly organized, with clerics often serving as community leaders and political advisors. They perform the sacred rites of passage, bless the harvests, and mobilize the faithful during times of crisis. Their divine magic is a stark contrast to the arcane manipulation of wizards; it is a gift granted through devotion, capable of mending shattered bones, curing terrible blights, and banishing the undead with blinding radiant light.
Beneath the earth, a very different kind of cleric operates. The deep-worshippers of Kurtulmak the World-Shaper guide the spiritual and physical expansion of the kobold society. These clerics are often engineers themselves, believing that the act of creation and building is a sacred prayer. They bless the deep-drills, perform rites to stabilize the cavern roofs, and call upon the World-Shaper to crush their enemies beneath the weight of the earth itself.
