Appearance

Aethel is a human woman whose body is partially frozen in a localized time-bubble. Her hair and robes move in slow motion, even during the most frantic combat, and she leaves faint, lingering afterimages behind her. Her eyes are a solid, glowing white, devoid of pupils.

Personality

Serene, fanatical, and profoundly disconnected from the current timeline, Aethel believes that the "Stillness" is the only cure for the suffering caused by change and the passage of time. She views the freezing of the world as an act of ultimate mercy.

Secret Motives

Aethel intends to merge her soul with the Chronos-Clock's central spindle. She believes that by becoming a permanent "temporal anchor," she can keep time frozen forever, ensuring that Aethervale remains in a state of eternal, unmoving perfection, free from decay and death.

Combat Tactics

Aethel manipulates time in her immediate vicinity with terrifying precision. She can force enemies to repeat their actions from the previous round (undoing their movement or damage), freeze them in a localized time-bubble for 1 round, or age them rapidly to cause levels of exhaustion. She is virtually impossible to hit with projectiles, as she simply slows them to a crawl and steps out of their path.
